    Early settlers on Erie’s shore were resourceful people who had to make the most of nature to survive.  Bring the family and hike or bike to visit different stations along the trails and learn about building log cabins; making, dying, and washing clothes; farming; early first aid; tending animals; and how settlers protected themselves.  This event is suited to all ages, and accommodates those who enjoy walking, bike riders, and children in strollers.  More details ahead!

Get a glimpse of early pioneer life in Avon Lake by visiting a series of stations in the woods, see live animals that were essential to pioneer life, and learn skills used for survival. Bring the family to this interactive event.
